Managing Knowledge Workers – Two Days Course from Standard Icon

Knowledge Management is like any other skill: it can be learned and improved upon

Organizations are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of managing knowledge, like any other asset, to improve their competitive advantage. Developed by learning specialists and brain researchers, Knowledge Workshop is designed to help you create and share knowledge. It enables you to overpower information overload and increase your personal productivity. Focused on empowering the individual knowledge worker, it builds upon the way you naturally organize and interconnect ideas and information, yet is as easy to use as a word processor. You choose what goes into your knowledgebase and how it is structured, then selectively share parts of it with others within your organization. There is no such thing as an immutable law in Knowledge Management. Knowledge is constantly tested, updated, revised, and sometimes even “obsoleted” when it is no longer practicable. It is an ongoing process.

This 2 days’ course will enable the participants to use appropriate tools and techniques for managing knowledge. You will go back into the workplace with a toolbox full of KMS that you can employ whenever you need them.

At the end of the training the participants will be able to know:

Why do you want to manage your knowledge?

What do you want to do with your organization’s knowledge?

How can you acquire, create, use and share that knowledge to achieve the organizational goal.
